Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how Burfly Photography uses and protects any information that you give Burfly Photography whilst using this website.

Burfly Photography is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Burfly Photography may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

Burfly Photography uses images for blog posts and social media posts, however we never use surnames within the these or within the file information embedded in the images. Further to this, whilst Burfly Photography actively encourages wedding testimonials and comments below blog posts, we advise you to only use your first name followed by (The Bride) or (The Groom), so that there is no connection between a surname, blog post or image. The email address you supply when leaving a comment isn’t visible or accessible to anyone other than us and only to us when we are logged into the blog’s admin section. We will also ensure that comments from wedding guests do not include the bride and/or groom’s surname.

We may collect the following information through a questionnaire/contract sent via email:

• Name(s)

• Contact information including email address and telephone number

• Demographic information such as address and postcode

• Information relating to a wedding

• Signed Contract

To deliver images to clients, I make use of a gallery and proofing service: Shootproof. When clients share their galleries with friends and family, they will need to enter their email address to gain access to Shootproof, with the email address acting as a login. This allows users to create favourite lists, leave comments and also share images effectively. This is also necessary for the ordering of prints. For further information about how Shootproof collects and processes personal data please visit the Shootproof website.

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

• Internal record keeping.

• To contact the correct people on a wedding day.

• To ensure we turn up, arrive on time, find the venue or home that photographs will be taken at and take agreed family shots.

• To meet client demands as their wedding photographer

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
